Jesus Vallejo to Real Madrid: Latest Transfer Details, Reaction and More
Teenage sensation Jesus Vallejo has agreed to sign with Real Madrid for six seasons from Real Zaragoza, although he will remain with his current club on loan for the coming season, per Real Madrid.
The club also shared a video of the young player in action.
The highly rated 18-year-old featured prominently for the La Romareda club in the second tier of Spanish football last season, appearing 29 times in the league, per Soccerbase.com. He also captained the Spain's Under-19s in their European Championship title this summer and was named to the best XI in the Segunda Division in last season, per Miles Chambers of Goal.com.
AS reported on Wednesday the player was due to sign for Madrid, after terms were thrashed out with Los Blanquillos:
Vallejo is one of the best young central defender's in the Spanish youth system, and it is no surprise Real Madrid have identified him early as a transfer target.
The defender will benefit from an extended run of football for Zaragoza, where he can develop his craft and become a potential Liga star.
But at such a tender age, his exact future is yet unknown—and with the competition at Los Blancos so fierce, it may be some time before he slips on their famous shirt.
