Tyler Loop Reacts to Missed Kick vs. Steelers on Video as Ravens Fail to Make Playoffs
Baltimore Ravens rookie kicker Tyler Loop had the chance to send the team to the playoffs with a game-winning field goal in Sunday night's season finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but his kick was wide right.
After the 26-24 loss, Loop took full ownership of his miss, which caused the Ravens to miss the postseason for the first time since 2021.
"Just want to say I'm super grateful to Baltimore, the organization and the city, just how they embraced me this year has been incredible. Just for it to end like that, sucks, and I want to do better," Loop told reporters. "Unfortunately, the nature of the job is you have makes, and those are awesome, and unfortunately, you have misses, and for that to happen tonight sucks."

Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson was at his MVP best as he set up the team for a potential game-winner. Facing a fourth-and-7, he connected with tight end Isaiah Likely for a 26-yard pass that put Baltimore on on Pittsburgh's 24-yard line with 14 seconds left.
Loop was 30-of-33 on field goal attempts before lining up for the potential walkoff win. However, the 2025 sixth-round pick knew he made a mistake as soon as his foot touched the ball.
"The second it made contact with my foot, I felt it lower," Loop said. "We talk about hitting on the fourth lace of the shoe. It felt a little lower down the foot and hit it thin."
Despite the loss, Jackson maintained his support of Loop while speaking to reporters after the game, while Harbaugh was captured on video consoling Loop after the game:
It was a tough way to end the season for the Ravens, who finished with an 8-9 record for just their third losing season in 18 years under head coach John Harbaugh.
Baltimore will now have to hope the Loop will be able to overcome his devastating miss as the franchise tries to regroup for the 2026 season.
