Charles Cross, Seahawks Reportedly Agree to $104.4M Contract Ahead of NFL Playoffs
One day after clinching the NFC's No. 1 seed, the Seattle Seahawks have solidified a key part of their offensive line for years to come.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Sunday that Seattle and offensive tackle Charles Cross agreed to a four-year, $104.4 million contract extension. The deal will pay him $40.5 million in the first year and is the largest non-quarterback one ever given out by the Seahawks.
Seattle selected Cross out of Mississippi State with the No. 9 overall pick of the 2022 NFL draft, and he started all 17 games as a rookie.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Since then, he has started at least 14 games every season and has established himself as a building block for the organization. However, he missed the final three games of the 2025 campaign with a hamstring injury.
Fortunately for the Seahawks, they clinched a first-round bye with that No. 1 seed.
That means Cross will have an additional week of rest and recovery before the Divisional Round, which is key since he is such an important part of the offensive front. His ability to keep Sam Darnold upright and clear holes for Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet has been a consistent theme throughout the season.
Cross is just 25 years old and is now part of a young nucleus that also includes Jaxon Smith-Njigba and others.
While Seattle has a golden opportunity to win a Super Bowl this season, keeping its young impact players for the foreseeable future should help open a long-term competitive window.
And Cross is a major part of that group.
