Ja'Marr Chase Jokes About Going to Cancun After Bengals Miss 2026 NFL Playoff Bracket
Ja'Marr Chase is ready for a vacation.
While the star wide receiver would almost certainly prefer to be getting ready for the playoffs, the Cincinnati Bengals' season came to an end on Sunday. Now, Chase said he's going to Cancun.
"I'm going to go to Cancun like everybody tells me to do," Chase told reporters after Sunday's season finale. "And I'm going to enjoy myself, because I don't have nothing else to do."

While Chase may be ready for his vacation in Cancun, that doesn't mean he's not going to spend this offseason getting better. He's hoping everyone on the team will do the same.
"Everybody should be motivated who's been on the team the last three years," Chase told reporters. "They know how it's been. If you're going into the offseason and you're not motivated from what happened this past season, you shouldn't be on the team, and you shouldn't play football, period."
The 6-11 finish from the Bengals was no fault of Chase. The fifth-year receiver recorded the fourth-most yards (1,316) in the NFL along with seven touchdowns this season despite having three different starting quarterbacks throughout the year.
Given his individual success and the team's struggles, Chase was coy when asked about his confidence in the coaching staff moving forward.
"I am very confident in myself," he told reporters. "I'm confident in the plays for me to get open."
Chase is under contract until 2030 after signing a massive deal last offseason, so he won't be going anywhere this offseason unless the Bengals decide to trade him. Cincinnati may need to make some moves to improve and ensure Chase doesn't ask for a trade.
