Jaxson Dart Impresses Fans in Giants Win vs. Cowboys Despite Impact to NFL Draft Order

Jaxson Dart led the New York Giants to a 34-17 home win over the Dallas Cowboys in the season finale Sunday.

The victory impacted New York's 2026 draft positioning. The Giants entered the game slotted No. 2 overall but fell to No. 5 after improving to 4-13, per Tankathon. 

Despite the potential draft implications, Dart's performance energized the fan base heading into the offseason. He threw for 230 yards and two touchdowns while completing 22-of-32 passes.

The New York Giants carried a 16-10 lead into halftime after scoring on four of their five possessions in a dominant first-half performance.

New York opened the second half with a touchdown before committing a fumble, but the Giants responded by adding 10 more points in the fourth quarter to cruise to a convincing season-finale victory behind rookie quarterback Dart.

Finishing the season on a two-game winning streak despite a lengthy list of injuries, the New York Giants will turn their attention to getting healthy this offseason.

New York dealt with injuries throughout the year, including absences from fellow rookie Cam Skattebo, Malik Nabers, Kayvon Thibodeaux and Wan'Dale Robinson, along with a handful of games without quarterback Dart.

With the season complete, the New York Giants will shift their focus to recovery and roster health heading into the offseason, buoyed by confidence in their long-term future at quarterback with Dart.
