Sam Darnold, Seahawks Clinch NFC's No. 1 Seed, Hyped By NFL Fans After Win vs. 49ers
Sam Darnold and the Seattle Seahawks clinched the NFC West and the No. 1 overall seed with a 13-3 road victory over the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday.
The win secured Seattle the top seed in the NFC and a first-round bye in the playoffs. San Francisco will enter the postseason as a wild-card team and will be the No. 5 seed with a Los Angeles Rams loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, or the No. 6 seed with a Rams win.

Darnold led the Seahawks in the clinching performance, throwing for 198 yards while completing 20-of-26 passes. Zach Charbonnet accounted for Seattle's lone touchdown and finished with 74 rushing yards.
Brock Purdy struggled for San Francisco, finishing with 127 yards and one interception on 19-of-27 passing. Christian McCaffrey was limited to 23 rushing yards and 34 receiving yards.
Fans hyped up Darnold and the Seahawks on Saturday after they clinched the No. 1 overall seed in the NFC.
The Seahawks led 10-3 at halftime after scoring a first-quarter touchdown and going 1-of-2 on field-goal attempts in the second.
A fourth-quarter interception by Purdy and another missed Seattle field goal set the tone down the stretch, but the Seahawks were able to close out the 13-3 win to secure the top seed.
With Seattle's fate sealed, the 49ers will await their postseason seeding following the outcome of Sunday's game between the Rams and the Cardinals.
