B/R's Week 18 PPR Fantasy Football 2025 Player Rankings
For most fantasy managers, the season is over. Week 17 was the Championship Game. A champion has been crowned. A runner-up is sulking.
Believe me, there's a lot of sulking going on with this guy. Won a couple. But it was a rough week overall.
However, for some fantasy degenerates, 17 weeks of fun isn't enough. They aren't afraid of teams with nothing to play for resting players. They want as much fantasy football as possible. They embrace the chaos.
They play their title tilt in Week 18.
Well, Week 18 weirdos, never let it be said that Bleacher Report wasn't here for you. We have all the information you need to bring home the ultimate prize, with position-by-position PPR rankings, breakout and bust candidates, sleeper picks and top overall flex options.
Quarterbacks
1 of 6.jpg)
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is the poster dude for why Week 18 championship games are problematic.
After 17 weeks, Allen is fantasy's top quarterback. But he's also going to spend most of Week 18 watching from the sidelines. Allen will likely take the first snap of the game to extend his streak of consecutive starts to 122, but after that he will reportedly rest his injured foot in what is essentially a meaningless game for Buffalo.
Allen won't be alone, either. Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers and Jordan Love of the Green Bay Packers are two more dinged-up quarterbacks who will probably be sitting this week out.
Starting Trey Lance in a title game is—not ideal.
Week 18 Quarterback Rankings
Players to Watch in Week 18
Jared Goff, Detroit Lions (at CHI) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,100]
Goff laid a massive egg in Week 17—less than 200 passing yards, one touchdown and a pair of interceptions. But he has a chance for redemption against a Bears team giving up the 10th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks.
Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys (at NYG) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,800]
The Cowboys are just playing out the string in another disappointing season, but Prescott has narrow lead for the NFL's passing yards title and the Giants have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season.
Players to Avoid in Week 18
Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals (vs. CLE) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,700]
Burrow has surpassed 20 fantasy points in three of his last four starts, but a strong finish to the season won't be easy—the Browns are second in the league in pass defense, allowing just 163.8 yards per game.
Bo Nix, Denver Broncos (vs. LAC) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,200]
Nix is eighth in fantasy points among quarterbacks, and a top-five option over the past month, but he draws a tough matchup to end the season—only two teams have allowed fewer fantasy points to quarterbacks than the Chargers.
Week 18 Sleeper
Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers (at TB) [DraftKings DFS Value: $4,800]
The Panthers will be playing for the NFC South title Sunday in Tampa Bay, and the Buccaneers have been generous to opposing quarterbacks, allowing the third-most fantasy points to quarterbacks.
Running Backs
2 of 6.jpg)
Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers is the king of fantasy running backs in 2025—the only back to amass 400 PPR points. But that big year is probably going to come at a cost in 2026.
McCaffrey is probably going to come up short of his second season with 1,000 rushing yards and 1,000 receiving yards, but it won't be for lack of trying—McCaffrey has already amassed a whopping 399 touches—just four off his career-high for a season.
That puts the 29-year-old squarely in the crosshairs of "The Curse of 370." After his 403-touch 2019 season with the Carolina Panthers, McCaffrey played just 10 games over the next two seasons combined.
So, enjoy this last week from "CMC." Next year likely won't be nearly as much fun.
Week 18 Running Back Rankings
Players to Watch in Week 18
Bucky Irving, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (vs. CAR) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,100]
The Buccaneers need to beat the Panthers (plus an Atlanta loss) to stop their free-fall and win the NFC South, so you can expect a heavy dose of Irving against a Carolina defense allowing the eighth-most PPR points to running backs in 2025.
Kyren Williams, Los Angeles Rams (vs. ARI) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,700]
After losing to the Falcons last week, the Rams don't have much to play for in Week 18. But Rams head coach Sean McVay has stated the starters will play against an atrocious Arizona defense allowing over 125 rushing yards per game.
Players to Avoid in Week 18
Omarion Hampton, Los Angeles Chargers (at DEN) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,600]
We know that Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert will sit out Sunday's trip to Denver, and Hampton could also see a reduced workload against a Denver defense giving up less than 90 rushing yards per game.
Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts (at HOU) [DraftKings DFS Value: $7,800]
Taylor is still third for the season in PPR points among running backs despite the issues at quarterback for the Colts, but he hasn't hit 100 rushing yards in six straight games and Houston ranks fourth in the NFL against the run.
Week 18 Sleeper
Ray Davis, Buffalo Bills (vs. New York Jets) [DraftKings DFS Value: $4,900]
With Buffalo resting starters in Week 18 and James Cook likely to be among them, Davis should see 15-20 touches against a Jets team allowing the third-most PPR points to running backs this year.
Wide Receivers
3 of 6.jpg)
When a player catches five passes for 47 yards and a score and that is considered a disappointing outing, you know that player had a whopper of a fantasy campaign.
That's the standard that Puka Nacua of the Los Angeles Rams set for himself in his third season.
Fantasy's top wide receiver in 2025 came up just short of 350 PPR points through 17 games. His 23.3 PPR points per game trailed only Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers among all players.
That's right—Nacua out-scored every quarterback in terms of points per game.
He was also fantasy's biggest title-winner in 2025—Nacua was on 29.1 percent of championship rosters at ESPN—the most of any player.
Week 18 Wide Receiver Rankings
Players to Watch in Week 18
Nico Collins, Houston Texans (vs. IND) [DraftKings DFS Value: $7,000]
The Texans still have an outside shot at claiming the AFC South, so as long as those hopes remain alive Collins should be out there against a Colts defense allowing the most PPR points in the AFC to wideouts.
Wan'Dale Robinson, New York Giants (vs. DAL) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,100]
Robinson's big Week 17 put him over 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in his career. He'll smash again this week against a Cowboys secondary that couldn't cover a bed with a sheet.
Players to Avoid in Week 18
Tee Higgins, Cincinnati Bengals (vs. CLE) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,000]
If Ja'Marr Chase is breathing, fantasy managers have to roll him out. But Higgins is headed for a letdown finale to the regular season—the Browns have allowed the second-fewest PPR points to wideouts in 2025.
Drake London, Atlanta Falcons (vs. NO) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,900]
The Falcons upset the Rams in Week 17, but London was a complete non-factor in the game, catching just one pass for four yards. He draws another poor fantasy matchup for the position this week with the New Orleans Saints.
Week 18 Sleeper
Parker Washington, Jacksonville Jaguars (vs. TEN) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,100]
It may seem strange to call a player with 14 receptions for 260 yards and a score over the past two weeks a "sleeper." But Washington is still flying under the radar a bit ahead of taking on a Titans team that has allowed the sixth-most PPR points to wide receivers.
Tight Ends
4 of 6.jpg)
There has been plenty written about Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride in this column this year. But the fourth-year veteran has earned every bit of that dap—and more.
McBride has 119 receptions for the season, which is tied with Los Angeles Rams wideout Puka Nacua for the league lead and set a new NFL record for catches by a tight end. His 1,174 receiving yards ranks sixth in the league. And after catching just six passes over his first three seasons combined, McBride has 11 scores in 2025.
Most importantly for fantasy managers, McBride pulled a Kelce-esque fantasy rampage in 2025—his 302.4 PPR points were over 100 more points than Atlanta's Kyle Pitts, who sits second at the position.
McBride will be the first tight end drafted next summer. The question will be if he makes it out of Round 1.
Week 18 Tight End Rankings
Players to Watch in Week 18
Hunter Henry, New England Patriots (vs. MIA) [DraftKings DFS Value: $4,500]
Henry put together a top-10 fantasy season this year, and he has surpassed 10 PPR points in four of his past five games. The Dolphins have given up the third-most PPR points to tight ends this season.
Dalton Schultz, Houston Texans (vs. IND) [DraftKings DFS Value: $3,800]
Schultz has had his moments this season--he sits just outside the top-10 among tight ends ahead of a matchup with a reeling Colts team that has allowed the eighth-most PPR points to tight ends in 2025.
Players to Avoid in Week 18
Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys (at NYG) [DraftKings DFS Value: $4,300]
If Ferguson finds the end zone in Week 18 he'll tie the franchise record for touchdowns in a season by a tight end. But the Giants have been stingy to opposing tight ends, allowing the ninth-fewest PPR points to the position.
Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs (at LV) [DraftKings DFS Value: $4,700]
If this is the end of the line for Kelce, it's an inglorious finale to a career that will land Taylor Swift's bae in Canton—catching wormburners from Chris "Who?" Oladokun in a bad fantasy matchup for tight ends with the Raiders.
Week 18 Sleeper
Colby Parkinson, Los Angeles Rams (vs. ARI) [DraftKings DFS Value: $3,700]
Parkinson has 10 or more PPR points in three of the past four games and ranks fifth among tight ends over the past month. The Rams could be trying to land the NFC's No. 5 seed and a date with the NFC South champion, and the Cardinals are dreadful defensively.
Team Defenses and Kickers
5 of 6.jpg)
There is no position more critical to fantasy success than kicker. That's why they fly off draft boards so quickly. Who needs running backs and wide receivers if you hit the fantasy jackpot and land the No. 1 kicker?
Sarcasm aside, figuring out the top kicker before the season is an exercise in futility. But Jason Myers of the Seattle Seahawks deserves more respect from drafters than he gets.
For the season, Myers was fantasy's top foot—the only kicker who averaged double-digit fantasy points. It marked Myers' second top-five season over the past three years.
Given that Myers wasn't even drafted in the majority of fantasy leagues, it's another object lesson in why fantasy managers should wait until the final round to draft a kicker.
Seriously.
Always.
Week 18 Team Defense Rankings
Week 18 Kicker Rankings
Players to Watch in Week 18
Denver Broncos Defense (vs. LAC) [DraftKings DFS Value: $3,800]
Denver has fallen off defensively of late, falling all the way to 10th in fantasy points for the season. But the AFC's No. 1 seed remains in play for the team, and the Chargers will be rolling out the JV squad at Mile High this week.
Harrison Mevis, Los Angeles Rams (vs. ARI)
The "Thiccer Kicker" has hit nine of 10 field goal attempts since joining the Rams, and this week Los Angeles faces a reeling Arizona Cardinals team that has given up the second-most fantasy points to kickers this year.
Players to Avoid in Week 18
Seattle Seahawks Defense (at SF) [DraftKings DFS Value: $2,700]
No defense in the league has more fantasy points for the season than the Seahawks, but this week's battle for the NFC's No. 1 seed features a San Francisco 49ers offense that has been a buzzsaw in recent weeks.
Jason Myers, Seattle Seahawks (at SF)
Yep. Gonna talk up a kicker—and then tell fantasy managers he's a bum this week. I'm complicated. Seattle isn't winning this game with field goals, and the Niners have surrendered the fourth-fewest fantasy points to kickers this season.
Week 18 Sleeper
Cleveland Browns Defense (at CIN) [DraftKings DFS Value: $2,400]
The Browns are a bad football team with a very good defense that ranks second in yards allowed per game. This also may be an attempt to manifest Myles Garrett logging an NFL record 23rd sack against the Bengals.
Overall Player Rankings
6 of 6.jpg)
These overall player rankings for Week 18 in PPR fantasy football leagues can be of assistance in making "flex" lineup decisions. They do not, however, include quarterbacks—if your league utilizes a "superflex" spot and you have a solid second signal-caller, start them in that spot.
If you do, you're probably in good shape in Week 18—the quarterbacks are a mess.
This analyst won't belabor you with any advice in this final edition of this column for 2025. Instead, I'll just wish you good luck in Week 18, hope that you and yours have a fantastic New Year, and cling to the hope that this column was of at least minimal assistance this season.
See you fantasy fanatics in 2026!
