Latest NFL MVP 2025-26 Odds for Matthew Stafford, Drake Maye After Falcons Beat Rams

A rough outing in Monday Night Football has hurt Matthew Stafford's MVP odds.

Stafford, who threw three interceptions against the Falcons, now has +300 odds to win MVP. New England Patriots' quarterback Drake Maye is the new favorite at -400, per DraftKings Sportsbook.

The Los Angeles Rams quarterback's odds fell to -115 after throwing a pick-six against the Falcons.

Maye later surpassed him as the favorite following Stafford's second interception.

He threw a third interception as the Rams were driving while attempting to even the score in the fourth quarter. While Los Angeles eventually came all the way back from 21 points down to tie the game, it eventually fell 27-24 on a late field goal.

Stafford has had a tremendous season thus far, and he certainly seemed like the MVP before Monday's game. Coming into the matchup against the Falcons, he had the fourth-most passing yards (4,179) while leading the league in touchdowns (40). He had also thrown just five interceptions.

As good as the veteran has been, he hasn't done quite enough to separate himself from the rising star Maye. The former No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft has put together a phenomenal second season with the third-most yards (4,203) and the third-most touchdowns (30). He also has the best passer rating (112.9) in the league, just slightly ahead of Stafford (112.1).

Maye also has the Patriots looking like Super Bowl contenders once again, as they clinched the AFC East for the first time since 2019 with Sunday's win over the New York Jets.

One thing going for Stafford is the fact that the Patriots played the easiest schedule in the NFL this year and arguably one of the easiest schedules in recent memory. Whether voters will take that into account when making their choice remains to be seen.

The 37-year-old Stafford has plenty of achievements in his career. He's a Super Bowl champion, three-time Pro Bowler and now sits in sixth place on the NFL's career passing yard list. An MVP is one of the only feats he's missing, but a rough outing against Atlanta could cost him.
