Patriots' Christian Barmore Responds to Viral Video of Mike Vrabel Trolling Jets

Scott PolacekDec 29, 2025

It's safe to say the New England Patriots are enjoying life under head coach Mike Vrabel.

Defensive tackle Christian Barmore took to social media Monday and responded to a video of Vrabel appearing to say "f--k 'em" while calling a timeout late in the first half of Sunday's 42-10 blowout win over the New York Jets:

"Love my coach man," Barmore wrote.

Vrabel took what was his final timeout of the first half with just 19 seconds remaining and forced New York to run one more play after quarterback Brady Cook was sacked. That the Jets offered no meaningful threat on offense surely contributed to the decision-making process, and it was all part of an easy win.

That it was Barmore who responded to the video was notable since the defensive tackle made headlines for a sequence at the end of the half following that timeout.

Vrabel and others had to hold the defensive tackle back after he was upset with Jets right tackle Armand Membou on the final play before intermission.

"What happened was sorry ass No. 70 do dirty-ass (expletive) behind my back," Barmore said while explaining he believed Membou intentionally fell on him after the whistle, per Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald

"People want to talk (expletive), but he ain't out there on this field. I'm just saying, bro. They want to act tough, you go in the locker room. … The play was already over. I heard the whistle blown. Bro came behind me and literally landed his whole body on my back."

It was a moment of drama in a game that didn't feature much, as Drake Maye threw for five touchdowns and didn't even have to finish the contest for the 13-3 Patriots.

Considering the team was 4-13 in 2024, Vrabel's first season as head coach has been nothing but a massive success for a team with a talented young quarterback and bright future ahead of it.

And he also has the love of his players if Barmore's comments are any indication.
