Sean McVay Reacts to 'F Them Picks' Viral Meme Amid Jokes About Rams' Draft Strategy
The Los Angeles Rams went seven years without a first-round pick between 2016-23, trading those selections to bolster the roster with trades that landed them players like Jared Goff, Brandin Cooks, Jalen Ramsey and Matt Stafford.
General manager Les Snead responded to the fan reaction regarding the lack of first-round picks during that period by wearing a "F--k them picks" shirt during the team's parade to celebrate its Super Bowl LVI title. But with the Rams set to have a pair of first-round picks in 2026, head coach Sean McVay discussed the team's mindset during the years without one.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"We've joked about 'F them picks.' We never really felt that way," he told reporters. "We look at all avenues to try to be able to shape out the most competitive roster. Every single year, there are different approaches based on, what do you have in place? Who's under contract? Who's under a rookie contract? Who's up for extensions?"
The Rams own both their own and the Atlanta Falcons' first-rounders in 2026 and should be able to bolster a roster that already looks capable of potentially winning a Super Bowl this season. The Rams may have to do so by playing entirely on the road, however, as they won't be able to get anything higher than the No. 5 seed in the NFC playoffs.
