Caleb Williams Reacts to 'Frustrating' Loss vs. Brock Purdy, 49ers in Bears Video
The Chicago Bears missed the chance to compete for the No. 1 seed in the NFC with Sunday night's 42-38 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
After the game, Bears quarterback Caleb Williams gave a candid assessment of the team's performance.
"It's frustrating, obviously," Williams told reporters. "You don't want to lose a game ever, and then also being in that position and having a shot at the end is all you can ask for in those moments. But, we gotta do a better job overall, just execution. We made too many mistakes as a team."

NFL star's latest post refuels trade rumors
Williams drove the Bears down the field with under two minutes left in the fourth quarter for the chance at a game-winning touchdown, but his final throw fell short of receiver Jahdae Walker in the end zone as time expired.
The Bears fell to 11-5 entering the final week of the regular season. Meanwhile, the 49ers improved to 12-4 and will face the Seattle Seahawks (13-3) in Week 18 with the No. 1 seed in the NFC on the line.
Despite the loss to San Francisco, Williams impressed with 330 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. It was his first 300-yard game of the entire 2025 season, and he will need to stay hot if he hopes to lead Chicago on a deep playoff run.
The Bears will look to end the regular season on a high note when they meet the NFC North rival Detroit Lions (8-8) next Sunday.
