Updated 2026 NFL Draft Order First-Round Listings After Week 17
The top of the 2026 NFL Draft order, though still awaiting the results of Week 18, appears to be relatively set, with the Las Vegas Raiders likely to clinch that No. 1 overall pick by the end of the regular season.
The New York Giants and Jets, Tennessee Titans, and Arizona Cardinals round out a top five of teams that experienced great disappointment and frustration in 2025 amid injuries, lackluster play, and a lack of identity.
Who joins those five in the top 10 and which teams receive first-round picks from others by way of prior trades?

Las Vegas Raiders Forecast
2 of 3.jpg)
The first year under head coach Pete Carroll was a disaster for the Las Vegas Raiders, as the team arguably looked worse than it had in years. Despite cornerstone players like Brock Bowers, Ashton Jeanty, and Maxx Crosby, the cupboard appeared bare, with several areas in need of upgrading if the team has any chance of competing against the top-tier teams in the league.
Geno Smith was not the player he was in Seattle, appearing to struggle in the offense more times than not and throwing nearly as many interceptions (17) as touchdowns (19). He is clearly not the franchise quarterback of the future, nor are Kenny Pickett or Aidan O'Connell, which opens the door for the team to select a signal-caller at the top of the draft.
Heisman winner Fernando Mendoza from Indiana or Dante Moore from Oregon project to be the top available at the position, at least ahead of the NFL Combine.
There are other positions of need for the Raiders, though.
The team could opt to address EDGE rusher with Ohio State's Arvell Reese or Rueben Bane Jr. from Miami, or the offensive line with Spencer Fano from Utah.
Of course, whoever is starting under center for Las Vegas will also need targets to throw it to. Tra Tucker emerged as a dependable target to go along with Bowers, but there still needs to be a greater threat on the perimeter. Unfortunately, there is not that one game-changing wide receiver at the top of the class that the Raiders could, or should, select with the top pick.
Assuming they retain the pick following the final regular season game of the year.
The team needs an abundance of help and given recent trends, unless it opts to trade out of that No. 1 spot and acquire several picks in 2026 and beyond, quarterback seems like the pick here as a potential franchise reboot and the centerpiece of the team's future.
New York Giants Forecast
3 of 3
The Giants, unlike the Raiders, believe they have found their quarterback of the future in Jaxson Dart. Still, they are still several pieces away from truly competing in the NFC, even with Malik Nabers at wide receiver and Abdul Carter on the EDGE.
Pass rusher Reese from Ohio State is one to watch at the No. 2 spot, as is Baine Jr. and Keldric Faulk from Auburn.
Cornerback is another area of need, but the team is more likely to find greater value later in the draft than at the No. 2 spot, with no prospects currently grading high enough to justify selection at that prime position.
The team could also use an upgrade at the running back, opening the door for the team to potentially select Jeremiyah Love out of Notre Dame. Of course, the halfback position has long been one of great contention in the draft, with many believing one should never be taken too high because the "bust" potential is too great.
While that may be true, Love carried the Notre Dame offense on his back (and legs) and could be the exception to the rule. As the Raiders found out with Jeanty this year, though, having an offensive line that can block is equally as important, potentially opening the Giants up to select the best tackle in this year's class, Fano, out of Utah.
