Bills' Josh Allen Downplays Foot Injury, Reacts to Failed 2-Point Attempt vs. Eagles

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen says he wasn't impacted by his right foot injury on the failed two-point conversion attempt that sealed his team's 13-12 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night.

"I just missed... It was there, and I've got to make it," Allen told reporters about the two-point attempt after the game.

When asked how much his foot impacted him during the loss, Allen answered, "Zero."

Allen landed on the injury report earlier this week with the right foot issue.

ESPN's Alaina Getzenberg reported shortly after Sunday night's press conference Allen had "just limped into the X-ray room with head athletic trainer Nate Breske."

Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott told reporters after the game that Allen's X-rays came back negative.

When asked if he had aggravated the foot issue during Sunday's loss, Allen answered, "I'm good."

Allen originally suffered the foot injury on Dec. 21 after taking a combined sack from Myles Garrett and Alex Wright during a Week 16 win over the Cleveland Browns.

He underwent an X-ray on his foot at halftime before returning for the third quarter of the Week 16 game, per Getzenberg.

Allen hit the injury report when he sat out Tuesday's practice. He told reporters the same day he planned to play Sunday.

Sunday's game ultimately came down to a fourth-down sneak to get the Bills within one point in the final seconds.

With kicker Matt Prater sidelined with a quad injury and Michael Badgley having missed an extra point earlier in the game, head coach Sean McDermott opted to go for a two-point attempt.

Khalil Shakir got open on the play, but Allen was unable to find him for a game-winning catch.

"It just comes down to us executing, making one more play than they did," Allen said Sunday. "And, obviously, we saw that we didn't make that last play. I didn't make that last play."

The Bills dropped to No. 7 in the AFC and lost out on their shot at winning the AFC East with the loss. Allen and his teammates will be starting out the postseason on the road regardless of the outcome of next Sunday's regular-season finale against the New York Jets.

Whatever team the Bills ultimately face in the Wild Card round, the team will hope to get their quarterback as healthy as possible before the postseason kicks off in January.
