The Raiders' loss to the New York Giants made them the only two-win team in the NFL. They are one loss away from securing the top pick.

Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza is one of the players the Raiders could choose at No. 1. Quarterback seems like the likely direction of the franchise since Geno Smith struggled for most of the 2025 season.
Of course, the Raiders always draw skepticism because of their recent draft history. It's natural for some fans to believe the top pick won't be the right choice for the franchise.
Giants fans were also upset with likely losing out on the top pick.
Las Vegas just needs to lose to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 18 to land the top pick. A win over the Patrick Mahomes-less Chiefs makes the draft math more complicated.
