Updated 2026 NFL Draft Order After Week 17 Results, Who Could Raiders & Giants Take?
The Las Vegas Raiders' Week 17 loss to the New York Giants felt like an organizational victory.
Las Vegas is now in the drivers' seat to land the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft.
The Raiders enter Week 18 as the only NFL team with two wins. All they have to do is lose to the Kansas City Chiefs and the top pick will be theirs.
The Giants didn't fall too far in the draft order. They are projected to have the No. 2 overall pick ahead of the New York Jets, Tennessee Titans and Arizona Cardinals.
That quartet of three-win teams will likely fill out the top five for April's draft.

Las Vegas

The Raiders are now one loss away from implementing a franchise reset at quarterback.
Las Vegas is one of the most quarterback-needy teams in the NFL. The Geno Smith experiment simply didn't work in 2025.
The Raiders aren't far off from having a well-run offense since Ashton Jeanty and Brock Bowers are already on the roster.
Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza is the highest-rated quarterback on Bleacher Report's NFL scouting department big board.
The Indiana quarterback would provide the perfect injection of new, exciting blood into the Las Vegas offense. The Raiders still need to upgrade at wide receiver, but if they land their quarterback of the future, that will be a big step forward in gaining relevance back.
Las Vegas will go through an extensive scouting process at quarterback, but right now, Mendoza seems like the most polished prospect to come out of the collegiate ranks.
Alabama's Ty Simpson and Oregon's Dante Moore are the Nos. 2 and 3 quarterbacks in the 2026 draft class, per B/R's NFL scouting department.
New York Giants

The Giants are still in a great position to add to their roster if they pick at No. 2.
New York is not as quarterback-hungry as Las Vegas, or other teams slated to pick in the top five, because Jaxson Dart showed promise in his rookie campaign.
Dart has one more opportunity to shine in Week 18 against the Dallas Cowboys before he sets his sights on his sophomore season.
The Giants have a decent core around him with Malik Nabers, Cam Skattebo and Theo Johnson, but they could use more at the offensive skill positions.
However, the Giants need help on the defensive side of the ball as well.
Ohio State safety Caleb Downs, LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane and Miami EDGE Rueben Bain Jr, are all top-five prospects, according to the B/R NFL scouting department.
With so many defensive studs available at No. 2, it would make too much sense for the Giants to look on defense before offense in the 2026 draft.
Landing a star defensive back would be ideal given how many standout wide receivers reside in the NFC East.
