The Colts started the season 8-2 and looked like a legitimate contender in the AFC. But Sunday's 23-17 loss against the Jacksonville Jaguars was the team's sixth straight defeat. With nothing to play for in Week 18 against the Houston Texans, it remains to be seen if the 44-year-old Rivers will play.
He was more than serviceable in his return from a four-year retirement, throwing for 544 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions in three games. The Colts simply crumbled when the schedule got tougher, going 2-7 against teams who have either clinched a playoff berth or are still in the postseason hunt.
