Aaron Rodgers, Mayfield, Darnold and More 2025 NFL Contract Incentive Bonuses Revealed

Adam WellsDec 27, 2025

With just two weeks remaining in the NFL regular season and the postseason on the horizon, several players throughout the league have contract incentives on the line that can boost their total earnings.

Per ESPN's Marc Raimondi, Aaron Rodgers, Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, Deebo Samuel and Joey Bosa are among the notable players who have a financial bonus within their reach.

Here is a breakdown of the incentives available to those players:

  • Aaron Rodgers, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers: Up to $5.85 million if the Steelers win the Super Bowl. He receives $500,000 if they make the playoffs; $600,000 for a victory in the wild-card round; $750,000 for a victory in the divisional round; $1 million for a victory in the AFC Championship Game; $1.5 million for a victory in the Super Bowl
  • Baker Mayfield, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Up to $2.5 million broken down by five $500,000 bonuses if he finishes in the top 10 in the NFL or top five in the NFC in passer rating, touchdown passes, total passing yards, completion percentage and yards per pass
  • Sam Darnold, QB, Seattle Seahawks: Up to $5 million between how far the Seahawks advance in the postseason and performance incentives, including $500,000 each for a passer rating of at least 100.0, at least 28 touchdown passes, at least 4,000 passing yards and at least a 67.5 completion percentage
  • Joey Bosa, DE, Buffalo Bills: Up to $3 million between playing time incentives and sacks
  • Deebo Samuel, WR, Washington Commanders: Up to $2.05 million if he finishes with at least 80 receptions, 900 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns
  • Keenan Allen, WR, Los Angeles Chargers: Up to $5.5 million between receptions, receiving yards, touchdowns and the Chargers' postseason performance
  • Bradley Chubb, DE, Miami Dolphins: Up to $9.6 million between performance and play-time incentives

Rodgers can earn the $500,000 playoff appearance bonus as soon as Saturday night. The Steelers will clinch a postseason berth and the AFC North title if the Baltimore Ravens win or tie in their game against the Green Bay Packers.

The two incentives Mayfield still has a reasonable chance to hit are passing touchdowns and passing yards. He's currently sixth in the NFC in touchdowns (23), one behind Darnold and Hurts, and seventh in passing yards (3,104). Caleb Williams is currently fifth among NFC quarterbacks with 3,400 passing yards.

Darnold has already collected $500,000 thanks to the Seahawks making the playoffs. He is currently on pace to get the passer-rating incentive (100.6), while needing just 297 yards and four touchdowns over his final two games to get those bonuses. His completion percentage is currently 67.2, giving him a realistic shot to hit that mark as well.

Bosa can earn $2 million if he reaches 12 sacks, though that is unlikely since he currently has five. One more sack would get him a $250,000 bonus.

Samuel has already earned $650,000 with 70 receptions and more than 700 receiving yards. The Commanders have already played their Week 17 game, so he would need a huge performance in the regular-season finale to hit the next threshold at 80 receptions and 800 yards. He would also need two touchdowns to get a $250,000 bonus for reaching eight this season.

Allen made an extra $1.5 million by catching more than 70 passes, surpassing 625 yards and the Chargers clinching a playoff berth. He is 16 receiving yards away from another $250,000 bonus.

Each playoff game the Chargers win would net Allen an extra $250,000. He would also get $250,000 if they make the Super Bowl.

Chubb will get $3.025 million if he plays at least 71 percent of the defensive snaps this season. He is currently at 71.3 percent through 15 games. The two-time Pro Bowler has already received a $1.225 million bonus thanks to his 6.5 sacks. He can add another $900,000 to that total if he gets to eight before the end of the season.
