Kirk Herbstreit Gets Bo Nix to Overcome Fear of Dogs in Viral Video With Pet Peter
Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has apparently been facing his fear of dogs.
ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit shared a video Friday on X of himself encouraging Nix to pet his golden retriever, Peter, ahead of the Broncos' Thursday night win over the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.
"My wife will be shocked," Nix told Herbstreit as he pet the dog.

The interaction took place weeks after video of Nix appearing to ignore Peter while speaking to Herbstreit ahead of a Week 10 matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders went viral on social media.
Earlier in the video, Herbstreit was told by Broncos players Jarrett Stidham and Courtland Sutton that Nix doesn't like dogs.
When asked about those comments, Nix told Herbstreit he had been attacked by a dog as a child.
"My family didn't grow up with them," Nix told Herbstreit. "My whole family's not really a dog one."
Nix's reunion with Peter came shortly before the quarterback scored two total touchdowns in his team's Week 17 win over the Chiefs.
The victory allowed the Broncos to hold on to the top seed in the AFC. Nix could now help clinch the No. 1 spot in the conference by leading his team to a Week 18 win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Jan 4.
