Snoop Dogg's NFL Christmas Day Halftime Show During Vikings vs. Lions Excites Fans

Snoop Dogg and the NFL joined forces once again, as the iconic rap star headlined the halftime show for the Christmas Day game between the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Thursday's performance marked Snoop's first musical performance for the NFL since being part of the Super Bowl 56 Halftime Show.

Fans responded to Snoop Dogg's return to the NFL center stage in appropriate fashion, with social media praising the holiday-themed show that also featured an appearance from Huntrix, aka the K-Pop Demon Hunters, as well as Andrea and Matteo Bocelli.

When you also add in Lainey Wilson and an introduction from Martha Stewart, it was certainly one of the most eclectic groups of musicians assembled to perform at an NFL halftime show.

Stewart does have a notable working relationship and friendship with Snoop Dogg, including recently joining him as a part owner of Swansea City.

Snoop's full performance included a medley of his songs, ranging from "The Next Episode" and "Nuthin But a G Thang" before turning things over to his special guests for a bit.

The K-Pop Demon Hunters, whose real names are Arden Cho, May Hong and Ji-young Yoo, performed a rendition of "The 12 Days of Christmas" in the vein of a K-pop song.

This marks the second consecutive year that Netflix has rolled out the red carpet for a marquee halftime performance during a Christmas Day NFL game broadcast. Last year featured Beyoncé in the spotlight during the Baltimore Ravens-Houston Texans game.

Netflix not only got Snoop on board this time around, but the streamer was also able to work in a tie-in with its most popular movie of all-time.

Bad Bunny will have to follow that when he takes center stage as the headline act for the Super Bowl 60 Halftime Show on Feb. 8.
