How Deebo Samuel Earned $700K in Contract Bonuses During Commanders' Christmas Game
Christmas Day was a fruitful one at the office for Washington Commanders wide receiver Deebo Samuel.
Samuel entered Thursday's game against the Dallas Cowboys with 68 catches for 639 yards on the season and wasted no time reaching 70 receptions and 700 receiving yards for the campaign in the first half.
According to Spotrac, Samuel earned a $450,000 incentive for reaching 70 catches and another $250,000 incentive for 700 receiving yards. It marked quite the payday for the veteran who is scheduled for unrestricted free agency during the coming offseason.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
While the 29-year-old isn't producing like he did when he was a First-Team All-Pro selection with the San Francisco 49ers in 2021, he has still been solid in his first and perhaps only season with the Commanders.
And that should set him up for a solid contract this offseason, whether it is with Washington or a different team that is interested in adding his versatile skill set to the offense.
Perhaps that contract will feature similar incentives to the ones he reached Thursday.
