Jerry Jones Explains 'Positive' Outlook for Cowboys Despite Missing NFL Playoffs Again
Despite missing the playoffs for a second straight year, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is maintaining his confidence in the team's chances to bounce back quickly.
During an appearance on Netflix's pre-game show before the Cowboys' Christmas Day game against the Washington Commanders, Jones made it clear that he's optimistic the future is bright in Dallas.
"One of the things that I would share with our fans and in general, is that I have such positive feelings about what our future looks like, because we not only have some outstanding players, building blocks, two of which came in a trade, but we have available cap room, we have our draft picks," Jones said. "All of those things are gonna serve us well as we get out here and make amends for the year we're having."

Re-Drafting Every Team's Worst Draft Pick of the Century 😡
The Cowboys enter Thursday's game with a 6-8-1 record. A year ago, they fell short of the postseason for the first time since 2020 after finishing at 7-10.
Still, Dallas added to its already talented core by acquiring star receiver George Pickens and defensive tackle Quinnen Williams this year, and both proved to be potential cornerstones to build around. Pickens is set to enter free agency, but Jones has indicated that he will do what it takes to retain him.
The Cowboys' fan base has been starving for playoff success for quite some time now, and it will need to wait at least one more year. Jones' message on Thursday was encouraging, but it's safe to say that many in Dallas are starting to run out of patience.
