Week 17 Fantasy Football Rankings, Matchups, Box Score Projections for Stars We Love
Week 17 kicked off with a Thursday tripleheader that involved the Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Denver Broncos, and Kansas City Chiefs.
Hopefully, you remembered to set your lineups accordingly.
The action will resume with a pair of Saturday games before moving to a more normal Sunday slate. With it being championship week in most season-long leagues, every lineup decision will be important.
Here, you'll find point-per-reception (PPR) rankings and projections for the best remaining matchups of Week 17.
Quarterback
1 of 4.jpg)
1. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills: 263 yards, 2 TDs, 40 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD
2. Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals: 300 yards, 3 TDs, 10 rushing yards
3. Drake Maye, New England Patriots: 275 yards, 3 TDs, 15 rushing yards
4. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams: 275 yards, 3 TDs
5. Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars: 250 yards, 3 TDs, 20 rushing yards
6. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles: 270 yards, 2 TDs, 40 rushing yards
7. Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers: 280 yards, 2 TDs, 15 rushing yards
8. Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals: 275 yards, 2 TDs
9. Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears: 270 yards, 2 TDs
10. Tyler Shough, New Orleans Saints: 200 yards, 2 TDs, 30 rushing yards
Matchup to Love: Drake Maye at New York Jets
Managers who have ridden Drake Maye to the fantasy playoffs can feel confident in starting him again this week. The Patriots will visit the rival New York Jets on Sunday afternoon in a game that should see New England roll.
The Jets are simply playing out the season and recently placed quarterback Justin Fields on injured reserve. New York has also been a friendly host to opposing quarterbacks this season.
Through 16 full weeks, the Jets have surrendered the 11th-most fantasy points to opposing QBs.
Maye had a modest 15.4 fantasy points the last time these two teams faced off. With TreVeyon Henderson in the concussion protocol, though, the QB should have a more significant role in the rematch.
Running Back
2 of 4.jpg)
1. Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers: 6 receptions, 146 scrimmage yards, 2 TDs
2. De'Von Achane, Miami Dolphins: 5 receptions, 120 scrimmage yards, 2 TDs
3. James Cook, Buffalo Bills: 4 receptions, 118 scrimmage yards, 2 TDs
4. Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles: 4 receptions, 128 scrimmage yards, 1 TD
5. Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons: 5 receptions, 118 scrimmage yards, 1 TD
6. Chase Brown, Cincinnati Bengals: 4 receptions, 120 scrimmage yards, 1 TD
7. Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts: 4 receptions, 105 scrimmage yards, 1 TD
8. Travis Etienne Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars: 4 receptions, 103 scrimmage yards, 1 TD
9. Ashton Jeanty, Las Vegas Raiders: 3 receptions, 108 scrimmage yards, 1 TD
10. Kyren Williams, Los Angeles Rams: 4 receptions, 98 scrimmage yards, 1 TD
Matchup to Love: Chase Brown vs. Arizona Cardinals
Neither the Arizona Cardinals nor the Cincinnati Bengals have anything to play for this week. However, neither team had anything to play for last week, either, and the Bengals at least looked like they wanted to be on the field.
During a 45-21 thrashing of the Miami Dolphins, Bengals running back Chase Brown racked up a season-high 32.9 fantasy points. While he might not replicate those numbers against Arizona, it wouldn't be a total shock if he did.
The Cardinals have surrendered the second-most fantasy points to opposing RBs this season. Last week, they allowed Bijan Robinson to rack up 29.8 fantasy points.
Managers should trust Brown to bring home a fantasy championship.
Wide Receiver

1. Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams: 7 receptions, 167 yards, 1 TD
2. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks: 7 receptions, 165 yards, 1 TD
3. Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals: 7 receptions, 152 yards, 1 TD
4. Nico Collins, Houston Texans: 6 receptions, 138 yards, 1 TD
5. Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints: 6 receptions, 133 yards, 1 TD
6. Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 6 receptions, 120 yards, 1 TD
7. A.J. Brown, Philadelphia Eagles: 6 receptions, 118 yards, 1 TD
8. Jauan Jennings, San Francisco 49ers: 5 receptions, 92 yards, 1 TD
9. Drake London, Atlanta Falcons: 5 receptions, 90 yards, 1 TD
10. Tee Higgins, Cincinnati Bengals: 5 receptions, 88 yards, 1 TD
Matchup to Love: Ja'Marr Chase vs. Arizona Cardinals
Managers who have the opportunity should double-dip into the Bengals' player pool this week—or triple/quadruple-dip, for that matter.
The Cardinals appeared to give up against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 16. While the final score was relatively close, Arizona put together a regrettable defensive performance filled with poor tackling.
Over the course of the year, the Cards have been a middle-of-the-road opposition for fantasy receivers. However, they haven't put up much of a fight against No. 1 targets recently.
Nico Collins racked up 23.5 fantasy points against the Cardinals two weeks ago, while Kyle Pitts, a de facto wideout, had 18.7 points last Sunday. Expect Chase to follow suit with a productive outing.
Tight End
4 of 4.jpg)
1. Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals: 9 receptions, 142 yards, 1 TD
2. Harold Fannin Jr., Cleveland Browns: 8 receptions, 99 yards, 1 TD
3. Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons: 6 receptions, 76 yards, 1 TD
4. Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints: 5 receptions, 68 yards, 1 TD
5. Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles: 5 receptions, 66 yards, 1 TD
6. Dalton Schultz, Houston Texans: 5 receptions, 55 yards, 1 TD
7. Brenton Strange, Jacksonville Jaguars; 5 receptions, 53 yards, 1 TD
8. George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers: 5 receptions, 50 yards, 1 TD
9. Colston Loveland, Chicago Bears: 4 receptions, 48 yards, 1 TD
10. Hunter Henry, New England Patriots: 4 receptions, 42 yards, 1 TD
Matchup to Love: Trey McBride at Cincinnati Bengals
While the Cardinals' defense appears to be going through the motions, star tight end Trey McBride is chasing history.
McBride is closing in on Zach Ertz's record for receptions by a tight end in a single season (116). He's seven receptions away from tying the mark, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see McBride set the new record against Cincinnati.
The Bengals' defense has been atrocious all season, and it's been particularly susceptible to opposing tight ends.
No team has surrendered more fantasy points to opposing tight ends than Cincinnati. In fact, the Bengals have allowed 4.2 more fantasy points per week to TEs than the next-closest team. McBride should be a league-winner this weekend.
