The NFL's Christmas Day slate of games sounded a lot better before the 2025 season kicked off.

Injuries will have the Washington Commanders' Jayden Daniels, Minnesota Vikings' J.J. McCarthy and Kansas City Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes all sidelined for Thursday.

As a result, these are the quarterback matchups NFL fans will witness:

  • Dak Prescott (Cowboys) vs. Josh Johnson (Commanders)
  • Jared Goff (Lions) vs. Max Brosmer (Vikings)
  • Bo Nix (Broncos) vs. Chris Oladokun (Chiefs)

Compounding matters, the Commanders, Chiefs, Vikings and Dallas Cowboys have all been eliminated from playoff contention.
