Ja'Marr Chase Calls Out Tee Higgins Snub from NFL Pro Bowl Roster After Votes Revealed

Joseph ZuckerDec 24, 2025

Cincinnati Bengals star Ja'Marr Chase queried why teammate Tee Higgins didn't join him on the AFC's Pro Bowl roster.

The Houston Texans' Nico Collins, Baltimore Ravens' Zay Flowers and Denver Broncos' Courtland Sutton were the other three pass-catchers singled out from the conference.

"Why tee ain't first team pro bowl ๐Ÿซค," Chase posted Wednesday on social media:

Higgins has an AFC-high 10 touchdown receptions, but his other numbers are lacking. He ranks just 28th in the conference in catches (49) and 15th in yards (720).

The 2020 second-round pick has missed two games, which impacted his overall production, but his 55.4 yards per contest still don't put him near the AFC's top performers.

It's not a total coincidence the four wideouts representing the AFC in the Pro Bowl Games are the top four in receiving yards. Making an objective case for Higgins to be above Collins, Flowers or Sutton is tough.

It doesn't appear Bengals fans did their part, either. Higgins wasn't among the top-10 vote-getters in the final returns.

This is pretty much what he signed up for when he agreed to a four-year, $115 million contract to stick around in Cincinnati.

Chase is on track to lead the NFL in targets (166) for the second straight year, and he has never finished with fewer than 128 since entering the league in 2021. When the five-time Pro Bowler occupies such a large role in the Bengals' passing game, Higgins will struggle to have the kind of stats that put him in the mix for individual accolades.

Making an average of $28.8 million isn't a bad trade-off for his trouble.
