'I Don't Give a S--t' About No. 1 Pick, Maxx Crosby Talks Raiders-Giants Draft Impact
The New York Giants and Las Vegas Raiders are tied for the worst record in the NFL at 2-13, which means the No. 1 pick of the 2026 draft will be under the spotlight during their Sunday matchup.
But it won't be on Maxx Crosby's radar.
"Yeah, I don't give a s--t about the pick," the star Las Vegas pass-rusher said Tuesday, per ESPN's Ryan McFadden. "I don't play for that."
It is understandable current players on NFL rosters don't care nearly as much about draft picks as fans and front offices.
After all, there is no guarantee players will be on the roster in the future when those draft picks start to pay off on the field. Even Crosby, who represents a different case than most NFL players as a legitimate star and franchise cornerstone who is signed to a long-term deal, doesn't care about the draft positioning.
In something of an ironic twist, being No. 1 or No. 2 in the next draft might not matter as much as it normally would for the Raiders and Giants specifically, as long as they are the two teams with the picks.
New York likely won't be looking for a quarterback after selecting Jaxson Dart in the first round last year, while the Raiders could very well be in the market for a signal-caller. The two teams could be looking at completely different players with those top-two picks and might not have to worry about what the other one does.
Of course, that could change if one of them decides to trade that pick to a quarterback-needy team.
But if that doesn't happen, the Raiders may be looking at Fernando Mendoza, Dante Moore or other signal-callers while the Giants are evaluating players at or near the top of the latest B/R Scouting Department big board such as Caleb Downs, Rueben Bain Jr., Mansoor Delane and Arvell Reese.
Not that Crosby cares about any of that.
