B/R's Week 17 PPR Fantasy Football 2025 Player Rankings
It's the most wonderful time of the year.
No, not Christmas, although that's here too. In most fantasy leagues, Week 17 means Championship Week. Just two teams remain standing, When the dust settles Monday night, one will be crowned champion, while the other gets to spend the offseason ruminating on what might have been.
Care to guess which side of that coin is more fun?
Of course, achieving glory and taking home the title won't be easy. Teams don't make it this far without rosters loaded with players who pile up fantasy points. Victory in Week 17 will require wits. Guile. And likely some luck.
As has been the case all season long, Bleacher Report is here to help fantasy managers get that one last win-- with position-by-position PPR rankings, breakout and bust candidates, sleeper picks and top overall flex options.
Quarterbacks
1 of 6.jpg)
The quarterback rankings in Week 17 are a who's who of "Who?"
With Lamar Jackson (back) of the Baltimore Ravens and Jordan Love (concussion) of the Green Bay Packers joining a laughably long list of walking wounded under center, quite a few fantasy managers are rolling out players in Championship Week they never expected to.
Jacoby Brissett of the Arizona Cardinals is a top-10 fantasy option this week. After back-to-back huge outings, Trevor Lawrence of the Jacksonville Jaguars may be the hottest quarterback in the league. Tyler Shough of the New Orleans Saints ranks inside the top-15.
This can be a weird game sometimes.
Week 17 Quarterback Rankings
Players to Watch in Week 17
Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals (at CIN) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,700]
Since Week 8, Brissett is a respectable seventh in fantasy points among quarterbacks. He should be a solid fantasy starter this week against a Bengals team that ranks 29th in the NFL against the pass.
Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers (vs. CHI) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,200]
In each of his past two starts, Purdy has thrown for 295 yards and has tossed at least three touchdown passes. Look for that hot streak to continue in this week's battle of surprise success stories in the NFC.
Players to Avoid in Week 17
Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks (at CAR) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,900]
The Seahawks currently possess the NFC's No. 1 seed, and Darnold has had his moments for fantasy managers this season. But he barely ranks inside the top-15 quarterbacks for the season and draws a tough fantasy matchup on the road against the Panthers.
Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers (vs. HOU) [DraftKings DFS Value : $6,000]
Herbert threw for 300 yards and two scores last week and ran for another 42 yards and a touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys. But the Houston Texans have allowed the fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks this season.
Week 17 Sleeper
Shedeur Sanders, Cleveland Browns (vs. PIT) [DraftKings DFS Value: $4,800]
Sanders has had an up-and-down first NFL season, and he struggled last week against the Buffalo Bills. But the Steelers have the NFL's third-worst pass defense and have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this year.
Running Backs
2 of 6.jpg)
In what is sadly something of a theme in Week 17, the running back position has also been blasted by injuries of late.
Just this past week, Quinshon Judkins of the Cleveland Browns was lost for the year to a dislocated ankle and fractured leg. Fellow rookie TreVeyon Henderson of the New England Patriots is in the concussion protocol and iffy at best to play. Josh Jacobs of the Green Bay Packers was clearly limited last week by the knee injury he has been battling much of the season.
The state of the running back position can be summed up in one sentence—fantasy managers who are starting Michael Carter of the Arizona Cardinals this week are actually happy about it.
Merry Christmas, indeed.
Week 17 Running Back Rankings
Players to Watch in Week 17
Bucky Irving, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (at MIA) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,200]
The Buccaneers are in absolute free-fall as a franchise, and Irving hasn't had 75 rushing yards in a game this season. That dry spell ends this week against a Dolphins team allowing the 10th-most PPR points to running backs this season.
Ashton Jeanty, Las Vegas Raiders (vs. NYG) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,100]
Jeanty had easily the best game of his inaugural season last week against Houston, amassing 188 total yards and two scores. Now he takes on a Giants team that ranks dead last in the NFC in run defense.
Players to Avoid in Week 17
Derrick Henry, Baltimore Ravens (at GB) [DraftKings DFS Value: $7,200]
On one hand, if the Ravens are without Lamar Jackson this week, one would think Baltimore will ride Henry in a must-win game. On the other hand, Henry's usage last week was confusing, and the Packers are giving up under 104 yards per game on the ground.
Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts (vs. JAX) [DraftKings DFS Value: $7,800]
Taylor's 79 total yards and a touchdown last week weren't a bad stat line. But his production has dropped since Daniel Jones got hurt, and the Jaguars possess the top run defense in the NFL.
Week 17 Sleeper
Raheim Sanders, Cleveland Browns (vs. PIT) [DraftKings DFS Value: $4,800]
With both Judkins and Dylan Sampson sidelined last week, Sanders was thrust into lead duties for the Browns last week, gaining 42 yards on 11 carries. The matchup with the Steelers isn't ideal, but the touches should be there for the undrafted rookie.
Wide Receivers
3 of 6.jpg)
Fantasy managers who rolled out Puka Nacua of the Los Angeles Rams last week are likely playing for their league's championship this week.
Nacua has been on quite the rampage over the season's second half. Since the Rams' Week 8 bye, Nacua has recorded at least 13 PPR points in every game. Last week against the Seahawks, the third-year pro hauled in 12 passes for 225 yards and two touchdowns.
Over 45 PPR points was quite the early Christmas gift. And it vaulted Nacua into the No. 1 spot among wide receivers for the season.
Week 17 Wide Receiver Rankings
Players to Watch in Week 17
Jauan Jennings, San Francisco 49ers (vs. CHI) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,600]
Jennings has shown quite the nose for the end zone this year—he has scored a touchdown in six of his last seven games ahead of a matchup with a Bears team surrendering the 10th-most PPR points to wideouts this season.
Drake London, Atlanta Falcons (vs. LAR) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,800]
Playing for the first time in over a month last week, London managed just three catches for 28 yards. But the Falcons will likely be playing from behind Monday night, and the Rams have given up the eighth-most PPR points to wide receivers this season.
Players to Avoid in Week 17
Ladd McConkey, Los Angeles Chargers (vs. HOU) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,200]
McConkey hasn't had 45 receiving yards in a game in a month and a half, although he did find the end zone last week against the Cowboys. Now he also has to contend with the Texans and their fourth-ranked pass defense.
Michael Wilson, Arizona Cardinals (at CIN) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,400]
Wilson has been a waiver wire wonder for fantasy managers in 2025—he's third in PPR points at the position since Week 10. But for all their defensive deficiencies, the Bengals have been a bottom-five fantasy matchup for receivers this year.
Week 17 Sleeper
Parker Washington, Jacksonville Jaguars (at IND) [DraftKings DFS Value: $4,800]
Washington is coming off the best game of his NFL career—six catches on 10 targets for 145 yards and a touchdown against the Broncos. No team in the AFC has surrendered more PPR points to wide receivers than the Jaguars.
Tight Ends
4 of 6.jpg)
Fantasy managers have been waiting for Kyle Pitts Sr. of the Atlanta Falcons to become the elite fantasy option most expected him to be more or less since he was drafted fourth overall in 2021. After a 1,000-yard rookie season, those managers have been left disappointed.
As it turns out, all they needed was Kirk Cousins.
Wait, what?
After last week's seven catches for 57 yards and a touchdown, only Trey McBride of the Arizona Cardinals has more PPR points among tight ends. Over the past month, Pitts has logged four straight games with at least 15 fantasy points and is fantasy's highest-scoring player at his position.
Better late than never.
Week 17 Tight End Rankings
Players to Watch in Week 17
Harold Fannin Jr., Cleveland Browns (vs. PIT) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,000]
In yet another dismal season in Cleveland, Fannin has been a bright spot—the rookie is fifth in catches and sixth in receiving yards among tight ends ahead of an excellent fantasy matchup with the Steelers.
Tyler Warren, Indianapolis Colts (vs. JAX) [DraftKings DFS Value: $4,400]
Warren's fantasy production has fallen way off since Daniel Jones went down—three straight games with six or less PPR points. But the Jaguars have surrendered the ninth-most PPR points to tight ends in 2025.
Players to Avoid in Week 17
Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles (at BUF) [DraftKings DFS Value: $4,300]
Goedert has been on a nice roll of late—three straight games with at least a dozen PPR points. The veteran will be hard pressed to keep that going this week against a Bills team giving up the fewest PPR points to tight ends this year.
Dalton Schultz, Houston Texans (at LAC) [DraftKings DFS Value: $4,200]
Schultz was mostly an afterthought in fantasy drafts this year, ranking ninth for the season among tight ends in PPR points. But this week's matchup with the Chargers' sixth-ranked pass defense is a toughie.
Week 17 Sleeper
Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (at MIA) [DraftKings DFS Value: $3,200]
Otton is admittedly a desperation dart-throw—he has seven catches for 43 yards over the past three games combined. But the Cincinnati Bengals are the only team that has allowed more PPR points to tight ends than the Dolphins.
Team Defenses and Kickers
5 of 6.jpg)
It's coming down to the very end where the title of fantasy football's No. 1 defense is concerned.
The Seattle Seahawks are maintaining a narrow lead, but after allowing 37 points to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 16 and posting their worst fantasy output since Week 11, Seattle's lead has all but evaporated. The Houston Texans didn't have their best effort of the season last week, either—but a pick-six salvaged a decent stat line that has the team hot on Seattle's heels.
Neither team has a great matchup this week—the Seahawks are in Carolina, while the Texans travel west to face the Los Angeles Chargers.
But given how consistently productive those teams have been defensively, neither will be easy to sit in Championship Week.
Week 17 Team Defense Rankings
Week 17 Kicker Rankings
Players to Watch in Week 17
New England Patriots Defense (at NYJ) [DraftKings DFS Value: $3,900]
The Patriots have had some issues defensively over the past couple of weeks. But nothing resolves issues quite like taking on an anemic Jets offense led by an undrafted rookie quarterback that has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to defenses.
Andres Borregales, New England Patriots (at NYJ)
Borregales has been productive for fantasy managers this year—he ranks sixth in fantasy points among kickers. Add in a Jets team that leads the league in fantasy points allowed to kickers, and you have the makings of a big week.
Players to Avoid in Week 17
Philadelphia Eagles Defense (at BUF) [DraftKings DFS Value: $2,600]
The Eagles have been a solid fantasy asset this season, ranking sixth in points among defenses. But the Bills have long been a bad matchup for opposing defenses—Buffalo has given up the sixth-fewest fantasy points to the position.
Cameron Dicker, Los Angeles Chargers (vs. HOU)
Dicker is one of the better kickers in the league from both an NFL and fantasy perspective. But a down week could be in the offing—the Texans have spent most of the season at the bottom of the league in fantasy points surrendered to kickers.
Week 17 Sleeper
Tennessee Titans Defense (vs. NO) [DraftKings DFS Value: $2,800]
Both the Saints and Titans have been more competitive of late. But this fantasy play is less about the latter than the former—16 weeks into the season, the Saints have given up the fifth-most fantasy points to defenses.
Overall Player Rankings
6 of 6.jpg)
These rankings of the top overall players for PPR fantasy football leagues in Week 17 can be of assistance in making "flex" lineup decisions. They do not, however, include quarterbacks—if your league has a "superflex" spot and you somehow have avoided the carnage at quarterback and have two viable signal-callers, one belongs in that spot.
In most fantasy leagues, Week 17 is the end of the line. And if you're playing in the final game, now is the time to pull out all the stops. The lineup you set this week will be (for better or worse) one you'll have to live with for months.
So, while these rankings are hopefully a valuable resource in helping you set the best possible lineup, make that lineup yours.
You're the only one who has to deal with the consequences.
