Logan Paul Says Jake Getting KO'd by Anthony Joshua 'Was a Logical Conclusion'
Jake Paul lasted six rounds against Anthony Joshua on Saturday, but was ultimately knocked out by the former heavyweight champion.
While Paul may have had some hope of a major upset, his brother Logan called the knockout a "logical conclusion" on First Take on Tuesday.
"From strictly a logical point of view, I actually think it went down exactly as it was supposed to," Paul said (4:29 mark). "I'm not sure anyone really though Jake was going to beat Anthony Joshua. But you have to understand, being his brother in his close circle, he has this conviction that makes you believe, and he has this ability to defy reality and morph it into his vision of how it will transpire, and it makes you think he'll win. However, in my opinion, this was a logical conclusion to the fight. Two-time Olympian broke the influencer boxer's jaw. Like, OK, we could've wrote it in a story and it would've made sense. That said, I think he did amazing."
While Paul has shown some promise early on in his boxing career, Joshua was his biggest test to date. Aside from just a skill standpoint, the size difference was evident. Paul, 6'1", weighed in at 216.6 lbs, while the 6'6" Joshua came in at 243.4 lbs.
All things considered, Paul did well, and his brother is probably right about a knockout being a "logical conclusion."
