Jake Paul-Anthony Joshua Rigged KO, Fight Allegations Denied by MVP Co-Founder

Doric SamDec 23, 2025

Following Jake Paul's sixth-round knockout loss against Anthony Joshua on Netflix on Friday night, the usual detractors emerged to question the validity of the fight.

However, Paul's business partner and Most Valuable Promotions co-founder Nakisa Bidarian shut down any notion that Friday's main event had a predetermined outcome.

"Not once with Anthony Joshua, his representatives or anything associated with this fight, or any fight that Jake Paul has ever been a part of," Bidarian told TMZ (1:50 mark). "That is illegal, that is immoral, and that is not what we need in this sport in any way."

Paul, who was fighting at a size disadvantage for the first time in his career, was visibly overmatched by the former two-time unified heavyweight champion. Joshua landed a devastating right hand in the sixth round that sent the YouTuber to the canvas and broke his jaw in two places.

Bidarian went on to call out the absurdity of the fight being rigged for Paul to lose in such embarrassing fashion.

"I've seen people talk about that, actually, there was a contract in place, and Anthony Joshua broke it because he didn't want to get paid, he was supposed to not knock out Jake Paul, but he went against the contract," Bidarian said. "That's how ridiculous it is."

While he acknowledged that the sport of boxing is filled with questionable tactics, Bidarian made it clear that Paul has never engaged in fixing any of his fights.

"The truth is, there's lots of shady things that happen in the sport of boxing. ... We have never done anything like that once since the inception of MVP and Jake Paul's career," he said. "We've never had a conversation of anything of that sort. That's a federal crime, and trust me, people would love to see Jake Paul end up in jail. So, it's absolutely ridiculous."
