Pat Bryant Injury Update, Broncos WR Reportedly Released From Hospital

Timothy RappDec 22, 2025

Denver Broncos wideout Pat Bryant was hospitalized after taking a big hit in the final minute of Sunday's 34-20 loss against the Jacksonville Jaguars, per ESPN's Jeff Legwold.

"He's got movement [and] that's encouraging," Denver head coach Sean Payton told reporters. "He was moving his hands and his legs."

Legwold reported that Bryant was also being evaluated for a potential concussion.

Mike Klis of 9News reported that Bryant has since been released from the hospital and was only diagnosed with a concussion.

Bryant was injured with 41 seconds remaining in the game after catching a pass. He was hit by Jaguars cornerback Montaric Brown, who was not penalized after it was deemed he didn't strike Bryant in the head or neck area.

The 23-year-old receiver was carted off the field and taken to a local hospital in an ambulance.

"You never want to see somebody in that situation, and I feel responsible because I threw it," quarterback Bo Nix told reporters. "You can say it's part of the game, but you just never want to see it. [I] really pray he's OK and he can be back out there as soon as he can. ... That was a tough situation."

Bryant, a third-round pick at the 2025 NFL draft, has 22 receptions for 305 yards and a touchdown during his rookie campaign, gradually becoming a bigger part of the offense as the season has progressed. He had five catches for 42 yards against the Jaguars.

"You never want to see one of your brothers go down," wideout Courtland Sutton told reporters. "The guy plays with best effort, best character for a young guy. He's a great dude and you hate to see him down with an injury. Keep him in our prayers that he's going to be OK."
