The Bears beat the Packers on Sunday in overtime, 22-16, taking over first place in the NFC North in the process. Chicago then clinched a playoff berth on Sunday when the Detroit Lions lost against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Williams, 24, was among the heroes on Saturday night, throwing for 250 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 30 yards. He also made two of the biggest plays on the night, throwing the game-tying touchdown pass to Jahdae Walker with just 24 seconds remaining and the game-winner to D.J. Moore in overtime.
"I knew it was good," Williams told reporters of his game-winning throw. "You've got that belief. You've got that confidence. You've got that swagger as an offense. You've practiced well. You've hit plays like that in practice. It was pretty identical to practice. When the play gets called and the moment comes up like that, it's time to go hit it. It's time to go win the game."
The Bears are one of the hottest teams in football. Since an 0-2 start, Chicago has won 11 of its last 13 games. While the schedule has been pretty favorable, the team can hang its hat on wins over the Packers and Philadelphia Eagles in the past four weeks.
Chicago is now one win away from clinching an NFC North title, which would be its first since 2018. It's been a grate—er, great—weekend in Chicago.
