Rodgers, Steelers Top Goff, Lions as Fans Question Detroit's NFL Playoff Bracket Hopes
Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions 29–24 on the road Sunday as Detroit's postseason hopes continued to fade.
The final seconds of the game were filled with chaos, as Amon-Ra St. Brown was stopped just short of the goal line while the clock wound down. He then managed to flip the ball to Goff, who ran in what initially appeared to be a game-winning touchdown, but the play was overturned when officials called offensive pass interference.

The win strengthened Pittsburgh's grip atop the AFC North, improving the Steelers to 9–6 as their path to the playoffs continues to solidify. However, they remain outside the AFC Wild Card picture for now and will look to secure a postseason spot by clinching the division.
For Detroit, the loss dealt a significant blow to its playoff chances. The Lions fell to 8–7, slipping further behind in the Wild Card race behind the Los Angeles Rams (11–4, clinched), San Francisco (10–4, clinched), and Green Bay (9–5). Detroit also has no remaining path to winning the NFC North.
Fans took to social media to sound off on the Lions' fading playoff chances following Sunday's loss to the Steelers, with many expressing frustration and concern as Detroit's margin for error continues to shrink late in the season.
Goff threw for 364 yards and three touchdowns while completing 34-of-54 passes, connecting with Jahmyr Gibbs, Kalif Raymond and Isaac TeSlaa for touchdowns.
Steelers' Rodgers finished with 266 yards and one touchdown while completing 27-of-41 passes to lead Pittsburgh to victory while Jaylen Warren carried two touchdowns with 143 yards.
The Lions will hit the road for their final two games of the season, first facing eliminated division rivals, the Minnesota Vikings, before closing the year with a tough season finale against division-leading rivals, the Chicago Bears.
