Latest on Jordan Love, Malik Wills After Injuries During Packers' Loss to Caleb, Bears

As the Green Bay Packers fight for their playoff lives, the status of both starting quarterback Jordan Love and backup Malik Willis remains up in the air.

Head coach Matt LaFleur offered an update on both on Tuesday:

Both quarterbacks were injured during Saturday's 22-16 overtime loss against the Chicago Bears.

Love suffered a concussion in the second quarter of Saturday's loss. Willis was generally solid in relief, finishing 9-of-11 through the air for 121 yards and a touchdown, though he also lost a fumble on the first possession of overtime, setting the table for Caleb Williams' 46-yard touchdown pass to D.J. Moore to end the game.

The Packers are now 9-5-1 on the season, and while they currently hold the final Wild Card berth in the NFC, a tough matchup against the Baltimore Ravens and a rivalry showdown with the Minnesota Vikings still loom. The Detroit Lions (8-6) are nipping on Green Bay's heels for the final Wild Card berth and the Bears (11-4) need just one win to clinch the NFC North.

Missing Love for either of the final two games, in other words, could put the team's playoff hopes in serious jeopardy (especially if Willis isn't 100 percent either). The veteran quarterback has thrown for 3,381 yards, 23 touchdowns and six interceptions on the season, completing 66.3 percent of his passes.

One good bit of news for the Packers is that wideout Christian Watson escaped Saturday's contest without any further injury concerns after briefly exiting:

Coming into the 2025 season, the Packers looked like one of the favorites in the NFC, especially after the acquisition of Micah Parsons. Now, the team is fighting for its playoff life, and it's unclear who will be under center this week.
