Allen finished with 130 passing yards, completing 12-of-19 attempts. James Cook III powered the offense on the ground, rushing for 117 yards and two touchdowns, while Ty Johnson added another score.
Following the win, fans debated Buffalo's postseason outlook on social media, with many expressing concerns and mixed optimism about the Bills' chances heading into the playoffs.
Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders battled in the near upset, finishing with 157 passing yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions while completing 20-of-29 passes.
Despite the loss, Cleveland outperformed Buffalo statistically on offense, recording 22 first downs to the Bills' 16 and converting 8-of-14 third-down attempts compared to Buffalo's 2-of-8. The Browns also outgained the Bills in total yardage but were undone by turnovers, committing two while Buffalo finished with none.
The win improved the Bills to 11–4, keeping them narrowly behind the New England Patriots for first place in the AFC East and holding the No. 6 spot in the AFC Wild Card standings. The Browns, already eliminated from playoff contention, fell to 3–12.
Buffalo will host the Philadelphia Eagles in a challenging matchup next Sunday before closing out the regular season in Week 18 against eliminated division rivals, the New York Jets.
