Jalen Hurts Reflects on 'Rare Times' as Eagles Make History, Clinch Playoff Bracket
The Philadelphia Eagles are the reigning Super Bowl champions, but they accomplished something that's been even rarer than a Lombardi Trophy during the last 20 years with Saturday's 29-18 win over the Washington Commanders.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"These times, they're rare times," quarterback Jalen Hurts said of the accomplishment, per Zach Berman of The Athletic. "It's something we all need to soak in and relish in this moment right now and take it a day at a time as we always have, but keep the main thing the main thing. That's what we've done for five years, since everybody's collectively been here."
While Philadelphia fans grew somewhat angsty during a three-game losing streak to the Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Chargers in Weeks 12, 13 and 14, the team bounced back with wins over the Las Vegas Raiders and Commanders to secure the division.
In doing so, it snapped one of the most unlikely streaks in the league as a repeat winner and now has plenty of momentum with the playoffs looming.
Hurts was solid against Washington at 22-of-30 passing for 185 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions to go with 40 rushing yards, while Saquon Barkley was unstoppable for stretches on his way to 132 yards and a score on the ground.
Throw in DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert catching touchdowns and A.J. Brown leading the game with 95 receiving yards, and the star power that should make the Eagles so dangerous in the playoffs once again was on full display.
It has been a season of frustration at times for Philadelphia with the fans booing the offense during the three-game losing streak, Brown making headlines for his comments off the field and Hurts fighting through some inconsistency in the passing attack, but there still aren't many teams that can match the number of game-changing playmakers on the roster.
The result was another division title and the opportunity to defend their Super Bowl crown come playoff time.
