Davante Adams' Injury Status for Rams vs. Falcons Discussed By Sean McVay

Paul KasabianDec 19, 2025

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay told reporters that he doesn't believe wide receiver Davante Adams, who is dealing with a left hamstring strain, will be available when L.A. visits the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, Dec. 28.

Nate Atkins of The Athletic provided more information on the ailment.

"Adams went down on a deep route in the second half of Sunday's 41-34 victory over the Detroit Lions. He stayed down until trainers arrived, and then immediately limped into the locker room for further evaluation.

"Adams has dealt with a pair of hamstring issues this season. One popped up early in a Week 13 loss to the Carolina Panthers, and he's managed it with limited practices since. But he aggravated that pull against the Lions on Sunday."

Adams did not play Thursday, when the Rams fell 38-37 at the Seattle Seahawks in overtime. He was listed as doubtful going into the game before being ruled out.

In his first season with the Rams (and 11th NFL season overall), the 32-year-old Adams has caught 60 passes for 789 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Adams is a seven-time Pro Bowler and three-time First Team All-Pro who could be finding himself in the Pro Football Hall of Fame someday.

He's been a tremendous asset for the Rams, who go into the final two weeks with an 11-4 record. Despite the tough loss to Seattle, which drops the Rams one game behind the Seahawks in the standings, L.A. still has a shot at winning the division and even earning the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs.

L.A.'s offense did fare quite well despite missing Adams on Thursday. Quarterback Matt Stafford threw for 457 yards and three touchdowns, and wide receiver Puka Nacua caught 12 passes for 225 yards and two scores.

Defensive and special teams issues down the stretch ultimately doomed the Rams, who were winning 30-14 in the fourth quarter.

Still, the Rams would love to have Adams back as soon as possible. Unfortunately, he's already been ruled out for next week, meaning his next chance to play will be the regular season finale on Jan. 4 vs. the Arizona Cardinals.
