Bruins Unfollow Every NHL Team on Instagram, Add 'Happy Gilmore' Star Adam Sandler
The Boston Bruins social media team is apparently prioritizing keeping up to date with Happy Gilmore star Adam Sandler over the rest of the NHL.
The Bruins shared a social post on Friday noting the franchise's official Instagram account had followed Sandler while unfollowing 32 other teams, including the no-longer active Arizona Coyotes.

Sens' Pick in Updated Mock Draft
Sandler famously wore Bruins jerseys in both the 1996 comedy Happy Gilmore and the 2025 sequel Happy Gilmore 2.
Sandler helped the Bruins out in the 2025 NHL Draft earlier this year, when he announced the franchise's selection of No. 7 pick James Hagens in a pre-recorded video.
Hagens is currently in his second season at Boston College, where he has 10 goals and 18 points in 16 games.
The Bruins meanwhile sit second in the Atlantic Division following a 20-15-0 start to the season. The team is currently preparing for a back-to-back against two former mutuals, the Vancouver Canucks and Ottawa Senators, starting Saturday at 7 p.m. ET at TD Garden.
