Jakobi Meyers Reportedly Finalizing Jaguars Deal After Raiders Trade, Contract Details

Timothy RappDec 18, 2025

The Jacksonville Jaguars are reportedly signing wideout Jakobi Meyers to a three-year, $60 million contract extension, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The team acquired Meyers in November in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders, giving up fourth- and sixth-round picks in the deal.

That has proven to be a very good decision for the Jags.

Meyers, 29, has caught 27 passes for 355 yards and three touchdowns in six games (four starts) since being acquired by Jacksonville, helping to reinvigorate the team's passing game. The Jaguars are 5-1 since his addition and currently sit atop the AFC South at 10-4, a game ahead of the Houston Texans.

The veteran wideout had been seeking an extension with the Raiders before the 2025 season, though the two sides never settled on a figure and Meyers ultimately requested a trade. That wasn't granted until November, though Meyers decided against holding out.

"If it wasn't for [my teammates], I probably would've done the same thing everybody else did," Meyers told reporters in early September while talking about the possibility of a holdout. "But you've got to find a way to separate yourself from all the business."

"I proved enough that I deserve to be here," he added. "I thought they would see it that way [but] they don't. ... It is what it is."

It's clear that Jacksonville saw his value and then some, however. Meyers not only ended up with the extension he desired but now will potentially have the chance to reach the postseason for just the second time in his career.

That wouldn't have been the case in Las Vegas, where the Raiders are 2-12.
