Rams' Flight to Seattle Reportedly 'Significantly Delayed' Ahead of TNF vs. Seahawks

Zach BacharDec 17, 2025

The Los Angeles Rams experienced some travel issues ahead of the team's matchup with the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

"The Rams' team flight that was supposed to be leaving any minute now is expected to be significantly delayed due to an equipment issue with the plane, per sources," Schefter reported Wednesday. "The team currently is working on alternative travel arrangements to prevent any further delays getting to Seattle."

Per Schefter, Rams players and coaches were eventually scheduled to depart on a Wednesday flight at 8:25 p.m. ET. The rest of the team's staff were set to leave later on a separate plane.

Los Angeles has already dealt with obstacles when getting to road games this season, as head coach Sean McVay was forced to travel separately from the team in order to prevent anyone from getting sick prior to a Week 14 win over the Arizona Cardinals.

McVay was still able to patrol the sidelines, helping the Rams secure a 45-17 win.

Los Angeles' upcoming matchup with the Seahawks is significant, as both teams are battling for positioning atop the NFC West standings with identical 11-3 records.

While the Rams currently hold the tiebreaker between the two teams by wrapping up a 21-19 win over the Seahawks in Week 11, Seattle can still put itself in sole possession of the No. 1 spot in the division with just two weeks remaining in the regular season by emerging victorious.

The winner of Thursday's game would also hold the No. 1 seed in the NFC postseason picture, moving one step closer to clinching a first-round bye as well as home-field advantage in the playoffs.

Los Angeles enters the divisional clash with the NFL's No. 2 scoring offense, averaging 30.0 points per game. Meanwhile, Seattle boasts the league's No. 2 scoring defense by giving up a mere 17.3 points on a weekly basis.

Kickoff between the Rams and Seahawks at Lumen Field is on Thursday at 8:15 p.m. ET.
