Packers DC Makes Bold Micah Parsons Prediction After Star's Torn ACL Injury
Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley has high expectations for star pass-rusher Micah Parsons once he's able to return from a torn ACL.
"Wait til you see how hard he works to come back, how fast he comes back," Hafley told reporters Wednesday.
"He'll probably break the (NFL) sack record next year," he added.

Parsons suffered the injury during Green Bay's 34-26 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
It marked an early end to a strong year from the four-time Pro Bowler, who was playing his first season with the Packers after they acquired him from the Dallas Cowboys in a blockbuster Aug. 28 trade.
Parsons recorded 41 tackles, 26 quarterback hits, 12.5 sacks and two forced fumbles across 14 appearances this year. He also tallied 79 pressures, according to Pro Football Focus.
Hafley's prediction of Parsons breaking the NFL's sack record next season is especially bold considering he'll likely be sidelined for the start of his 2026 campaign while he continues to rehab.
ESPN's Rob Demovsky noted that the edge-rusher could miss as few as three games or as many as six contests next season depending on his recovery rate from ACL surgery.
For now, the Packers will continue their playoff push without Parsons as their 9-4-1 record puts them at No. 7 in the NFC postseason picture.
