Cam Ward Hopes to Be Involved in Titans' HC Search Amid Mike McCarthy Rumors

Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Cam Ward hopes to be involved in the organization's search for its next head coach this offseason.

"I want to meet all of them," he told reporters of prospective candidates. "Every coach who gets the opportunity to come here, I want to have conversations throughout the process with them. I'm going to be here for that whole time."

He added that president of football operations Chad Brinker and general manager Mike Borgonzi have spoken to him about the coaching search.

Former head coach Brian Callahan was fired this season after a 1-5 start. He was just 4-19 in parts of two seasons at the helm.

Tennessee has gone just 1-7 since, though Ward has shown flashes, throwing for 2,638 yards, 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions, though he's completed just 59.3 percent of his passes and taken 49 sacks. He's also rushed for 129 yards and a score.

Tennessee's job will be intriguing for candidates, in large part due to the presence of Ward. It sounds as though he'll be active in that hiring process.
