Notre Dame's Jadarian Price Declares for 2026 NFL Draft, Top Projected Landing Spots

Timothy RappDec 17, 2025

Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price declared for the NFL draft on Wednesday, forgoing his senior season.

Price is considered the No. 37 overall prospect in the 2026 NFL draft, according to the B/R NFL Scouting Department, and the No. 2 running back available behind his Notre Dame teammate and Heisman finalist, Jeremiyah Love.

ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. also considers Price to be the No. 2 running back in the 2026 NFL draft.

In three seasons at Notre Dame Price rushed for 1,692 yards and 21 touchdowns while catching 15 passes for 162 yards and another three scores. He largely served as the backup for Love the backup two seasons, who was a back-to-back 1,000-yard rusher.

At this stage in the draft process, Price seems likely to be a late first-rounder or second-round selection, though a lot can change in the coming months.

As for potential landing spots, a number of teams around the NFL would likely benefit from an upgrade at the running back position.

The Arizona Cardinals went into a full committee mode after James Conner was ruled out for the season in late September with a foot injury. Conner is 30 and it's fair to question how he'll look when he returns from that injury, while none of Bam Knight, Emari Demercado, Michael Carter or Trey Benson have fully seized on the heir apparent role when given the chance (albeit with plenty of injuries among that group as well).

The Washington Commanders are another team who could be in the market for a running back, with rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt (646 yards, five touchdowns) failing to impress as the lead back.

The New Orleans Saints need playmakers at basically every position and Alvin Kamara is 30, so they would make sense as a potential option. And don't be surprised if the Kansas City Chiefs try to add a jolt to their backfield after this season's stunning failure to reach the playoffs.
