Spartans Lose to a Good CMU team...
I am not sure what I saw..

From the stands, I watched a Good MAC team with an outstanding Quarterback, and a Big Ten team who played mistake laden football. What Spartan team took the field..???
I haven’t seen that many penalties in a long time.. And several questionable and just plain BAD calls. The Refs raced from the stadium tunnel in a Black Caddy, almost ran us over as we were walking past to head to our cars...... Sure they Spartans played awful, but the crappy calls by this Ref Crew didn’t help.
Seemed like the Basics were missing today… Spartans not firing on all cylinders, and Chip Dan LeFevour is a good QB.. no questions.. he seems to hit Antonio Brown with ease.. and the guys fast on his feet.
Dan rushed for 25 yrds on his own. This was a much..much ..much more close game than anticipated after watching the Arizona disassembles the Chips last week.
This game should have been a walk for the Spartans. But not so… As bad as the Spartans were, the Chips were unexpectedly better. CMU kept on coming and proved they weren’t going to give this weeks game away.
After standing most of the game, I finally relaxed and thought game was in the Bag for the Spartans with about 20 some seconds to go in the fourth quarter. Score was 26 – 27, Central Michigan just missed a 2 point conversion and all Spartans had to do was hold on to an On-Side Kick… This was going to seal the deal, and give MSU the win…… From my seat it looked like 2 Spartans touched the ball, but couldn’t hang on to it and CMU recovered… Leading to a pass down field and a Field goal…
It was 17 years ago to the Day that the Spartans were beaten previously by the Chips. To the day… Lighting struck twice, and in our case with the Chips, Three times in the same place (Spartan Stadium).
Sure there were some Successful moments in the Game:
Kirk Cousins 7-yard pass to B.J. Cunningham….
Jeremy Ware’s interception…
Cousins 39yd pass to Blair White to the goal line...
Maybe chalk this up to learning experience for young QBs…
