Snoop Dogg Announces NFL Christmas Day Halftime Show for Lions vs. Vikings in Video
Netflix is once again going all out for halftime acts as part of its Christmas Day NFL doubleheader.
Snoop Dogg announced on Tuesday that he will be headlining "Snoop Dogg's Holiday Halftime Party" for the Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings game on Dec. 25.
Bela Bajaria, Netflix's chief content officer, issued a statement toย NFL.comย about the inclusion of Snoop Dogg as part of this year's broadcast:
"Christmas Gameday just got a whole lot cooler. We're uniting two global cultural juggernauts, the NFL and the one and only Snoop Dogg, who will drop the hottest halftime show. As a West Coast girl and huge fan myself, I can confidently say this is the ultimate gift we could give our members. We're ready to drop it like it's hot this holiday celebration!"
This holiday will mark the second year that Netflix is broadcasting NFL games on Christmas. Last year's debut featured a doubleheader starting with the Kansas City Chiefs vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers, followed by the Baltimore Ravens vs. the Houston Texans.
The second game also included a halftime performance by Beyoncรฉ, in her hometown of Houston, that was dubbed the "Beyoncรฉ Bowl."
Snoop Dogg has frequently been featured on NFL programming in recent years. He hosted the 2025 NFL Honors ceremony in February. The iconic hip-hop star was also a featured act during the Super Bowl 56 Halftime Show, along with Dr. Dre, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar.
The Vikings-Lions matchup will be the second of Netflix's two Christmas Day games. It will follow the Dallas Cowboys-Washington Commanders game that kicks off at 1 p.m. ET.
