Tiger Woods Reveals Dream Group to Play Golf With and Best Celebrity Golfers in Video

Tiger Woods revealed that his dream golf pairing would be his father, his son Charlie and himself during a video for Golf Digest.

He also said the best celebrity foursome he's ever played in was with the former MLB pitching trio of John Smoltz, Greg Maddux and Tom Glavine, and said either Smoltz or former NFL quarterback Tony Romo was the best non-professional golfer he's ever played with.

Woods' father, Earl Woods, died in 2006 from cancer. His son Charlie, 16, is playing on the amateur circuit and was named a first-team All-American by the American Junior Golf Association in November.

As for Tiger himself, his playing status going forward is unclear. He had his seventh back procedure done back in October and seems unlikely to play anytime soon.

"It's not as fast as I'd like it to be," he told reporters in early October regarding his recovery.

"I'd like to come back to just playing golf again," he added. "I haven't played golf in a long time. It's been a tough year. I've had a lot of things happen on and off the golf course... I've had to sit on the sidelines for a number of months, and most of this year, and quite frankly, the end of last year."

As for the other names mentioned, Smoltz and Romo are each considered scratch golfers and show up regularly at celebrity tournaments and other events. It shouldn't come as a major surprise that the top celebrity golfers Woods mentioned once thrived in different sports.
