'Ha, Ha, Ha. You Can't Stop Us,' Kyren Williams Reacts to Rams' Critical Win vs. Lions

The Los Angeles Rams faced some early adversity in Sunday's matchup against the Detroit Lions before fighting back for a 41-34 victory, which made them the first team in the NFC to clinch a playoff spot.

Overcoming the shaky start fueled the Rams' confidence even more, and running back Kyren Williams had a colorful way of describing the team's mindset after another impressive win.

"You can't stop us. You can't stop us," Williams said, per The Athletic's Nate Atkins. "You know where the ball is going, and you still can't stop us. For me, it's so cool being out there on the field with great guys like Puka (Nacua) and Davante (Adams) and all the tight ends and all the offensive linemen. It's fourth down, and they think that they've got us, and we get the first down. To me, that feeling is, 'Ha, ha, ha. You can't stop us.'"

Per ESPN, when the Rams fell behind by 10 points with 30 seconds left in the first half, it was the largest deficit they've faced in over two months. However, Los Angeles remained poised and took the lead for good late in the third quarter.

After a win like that, it's hard to argue with the Rams players feeling like they're unstoppable.

"That's what it feels like, honestly," Williams told Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer. "Matthew [Stafford] can make any throw out there on the field. And I got so much confidence in it, it's so crazy. I know that if I can protect my own, if I can do my 1/11 of the job, Matthew's gonna get that ball out on time, to Puka, to Davante [Adams], to Colby [Parkinson], to T-Ferg [Terrance Ferguson]. No matter who it is, the ball is gonna be completed. Being able to have a guy like that back there, man, it gives you so much confidence."

Stafford threw for 368 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in the win, further boosting his case for NFL MVP. When asked if he feels his quarterback deserves the award, Williams had a simple answer.

"C'mon, man. Yes," he said.

The Rams (11-3) will have a quick turnaround when they meet the Seattle Seahawks (11-3) on Thursday Night Football in a battle for first place in the NFC West.
