The Los Angeles Chargers enjoyed officially ending the Kansas City Chiefs' playoff hopes on Sunday.

L.A.'s social media team posted a SpongeBob SquarePants meme to troll the Chiefs after they were officially eliminated from postseason contention with the 16-13 loss.

It was a brutal day in Kansas City, as superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffered a season-ending ACL tear, an injury that may cost him time in the 2026 campaign as well.

It will be the first time since 2014 that the Chiefs are missing the playoffs, the first time in Mahomes' career and just the second time during the Andy Reid era. The Chargers swept the season series, winning both games by a combined nine points.
