NFL Playoffs 2025-26 Updated Standings, Bracket Picture and Scenarios

Erik BeastonDec 14, 2025

The first two teams have cashed their tickets to the NFL postseason by way of key Week 15 victories.

The Los Angeles Rams knocked off the Detroit Lions to remain the top seed in the NFC while Bo Nix tossed four touchdowns to propel the Denver Broncos past the Green Bay Packers and secure his team's spot in the postseason.

What are the current standings, what are some of the scenarios facing each team, and what are the current Super Bowl odds for each team still in the hunt?

Find out with this look at the current playoff situation.

Division Leaders

1. x-Denver Broncos (12-2, AFC West; +800 odds to win the Super Bowl)

2. New England Patriots (11-3, AFC East; +1300)

3. Jacksonville Jaguars (10-4, AFC South; +1700)

4. Pittsburgh Steelers (7-6, AFC North; +9000)

The Broncos became the first AFC team to clinch a spot in the postseason with their win over Green Bay Sunday afternoon. New England could have joined Sean Payton's crew, and wrapped up the AFC East title, with a victory over Buffalo, but the team fell short as Josh Allen and the Bills stormed back to take the lead and win the game.

Wild Card Teams

5. Los Angeles Chargers (10-4; +2200)

6. Buffalo Bills (10-4; +850)

7. Houston Texans (9-5; +1100)

All three AFC Wild Card teams earned significant victories in Week 15, but it is the Chargers who sit in the five spot following a three-point win that eliminated the Kansas City Chiefs from playoff contention for the first time since 2015.

They get the nod over the Bills for that top spot thanks to a better conference record. Each team plays AFC competition twice more before the end of the season, though, with Los Angeles battling the seventh-seeded Texans in an important December 27 match-up.

In the Hunt

8. Indianapolis Colts (8-6; +15000)

9. Baltimore Ravens (7-7; +2800)

10. Miami Dolphins (6-7; +100000)

The Miami Dolphins are a long shot to make the postseason but their impact could be felt Monday night if they can manage to upset the Pittsburgh Steelers. That would open the door for the Ravens to take the lead in the AFC North and battle back from an improbably bad start to the season.

Eliminated

11. Kansas City Chiefs (6-8)

12. Cincinnati Bengals (4-10)

13. New York Jets (3-11)

14. Cleveland Browns (3-11)

15. Tennessee Titans (2-12)

16. Las Vegas Raiders (2-12)

Division Leaders

1. x-Los Angeles Rams (11-3, NFC West; +340)

2. Chicago Bears (10-4, NFC North; +3500)

3. Philadelphia Eagles (9-5, NFC East; +1100)

4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-7, NFC South; +7000)

The Rams clinched a playoff spot with their win over Detroit Sunday. Their game against Seattle Thursday night suddenly becomes one of the most important match-ups of the season, with the NFC West division title and the top spot in the conference potentially at stake.

Tampa Bay leapt back into the NFC South lead by way of the Panthers' loss to the Saints, by way of a higher win percentage in common games.

Wild Card Teams

5. Seattle Seahawks (11-3; +650)

6. San Francisco 49ers (10-4; +2200)

7. Green Bay Packers (9-4-1; +1100)

No team took a bigger spill with a loss than Green Bay, who entered the week as the No. 2 seed but plummeted all the way to the final Wild Card spot after dropping their game to Denver. They are still in a comfortable lead for that final playoff spot, though, by way of Detroit's loss to Los Angeles and a season sweep over the Lions.

In the Hunt

8. Detroit Lions (8-6; +3000)

9. Carolina Panthers (7-7; +15000)

10. Dallas Cowboys (6-7-1; +15000)

Of the three teams still in the hunt, the Panthers stand the best chance of actually making the postseason, if for no other reason than Tampa Bay's struggles down the stretch. The teams clash in a huge Week 16 showdown, in Charlotte, next Sunday.

Eliminated

11. Minnesota Vikings (6-8)

12. Atlanta Falcons (5-9)

13. New Orleans Saints (4-10)

14. Washington Commanders (4-10)

15. Arizona Cardinals (3-11)

16. New York Giants (2-12)

x - indicates clinched playoffs
