Shedeur Sanders Criticized by NFL Fans After Struggles in Browns Loss to Caleb, Bears

Paul KasabianDec 14, 2025

Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders completed 18-of-35 passes for 177 yards, three interceptions and no touchdowns en route to a 31-3 road loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

Sanders made his fourth NFL start on Sunday, one week after a tremendous performance against the Tennessee Titans (364 passing yards and three touchdowns plus 29 rushing yards and one more score).

This week did not feature the same success, as the Bears stymied Sanders and the Browns offense all day.

Chicago amassed all three of its interceptions in the second half thanks to D'Marco Jackson, Jaylon Johnson and C.J. Gardner-Johnson. Jaylon Johnson's pick appeared to be a Jerry Jeudy touchdown pass at first down the sideline, but the cornerback was able to snag the ball.

The Bears also won the battle in the trenches. Chicago sacked Sanders five times and held running back Quinshon Judkins to 21 rushing yards on 12 carries.

Chicago scored 14 points in the first and third quarters and added a fourth quarter field goal. D'Andre Swift scored two rushing touchdowns, and DJ Moore caught two TD's from Caleb Williams, who added 242 passing yards.

Overall, this was a tough day for Sanders, and fans took notice.

The 3-11 Browns have three games remaining, beginning next Sunday at home versus the 10-4 Buffalo Bills.
