Travis Kelce's Phone Calls and Takeaways From Taylor Swift Eras Tour Doc Episodes 1, 2

Zach BacharDec 12, 2025

The first two episodes of Taylor Swift's The End of an Era docuseries released on Friday night and featured one of her private conversations with fiancé Travis Kelce.

In the first episode, the 14-time Grammy Award-winner and the Kansas City Chiefs star discussed Swift preparing for Ed Sheeran's upcoming surprise appearance at her show.

"How are you guys so good?" Kelce asked Swift, via Erin Crabtree and Eliza Thompson of US Weekly. "You can just do a little, like, in-the-back-room rehearsal and then go do this in front of everyone."

Swift then compared the situation to the Chiefs' gameplan.

"I love you. I don't know, how do you remember 36,000 plays that are all tactical missions and then just go do it?" Swift responded. "It's the same. It's basically the same job! I got songs to remember, you got plays to remember."

While Kelce wasn't able to appear at the show due to his commitment to the Chiefs, he promised Swift that he'd be "scouring the internet" for videos of the concert (via Crabtree and Thompson).

They shared another phone conversation following the performance in Aug. 2024, with Swift telling Kelce that the show was "so great."

"I'm so relieved," Swift said. "Baby, it's like the crowd knew that I needed a pick-me-up. When I walked out on stage, they were wilder than I've ever seen."

It's been a busy year for the couple, as Kelce and the Chiefs made an appearance in Super Bowl LIX on Feb. 9. The pair later announced their engagement on Aug. 29 before Swift released her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, on Oct. 3.

The next two episodes of Swift's docuseries will drop on Dec. 19 before the final two episodes are set to premiere on Dec. 26.
