Lamb, who missed three games early in the season due to a sprained ankle, suffered the injury in the third quarter against the Lions. He left his feet in an attempt to catch a pass and his head hit the turf as he landed.
The Cowboys training staff evaluated Lamb in the blue medical tent on the sideline and later in the locker room before he was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Since the game was played on a Thursday, Lamb had a few extra days to recover leading up to this week's matchup with the Vikings.
When the Cowboys opened practice this week, Lamb was a limited participant on Wednesday. He practiced in full on Thursday, indicating he had cleared the protocol.
Despite missing most of the second half against the Lions, Lamb was dominant in the game. He had six catches for 121 yards with just 38 offensive snaps played.
Lamb's return will provide a boost to the Cowboys as they look to keep their playoff hopes alive. He ranks second on the team with 865 receiving yards and third with three receiving touchdowns in 10 games.
The Cowboys (6-6-1) had won three straight games prior to their 44-30 defeat against the Lions. They are 1.5 games behind the Philadelphia Eagles for first place in the NFC East with four weeks remaining in the regular season.
Dallas will host Minnesota at AT&T Stadium on Sunday Night Football.
